Our Story
Advanced Packaging was established over 50 years ago with the mission of engineering and delivering the highest quality shipping and foam cushioning solutions available. Our company was founded out of a desire to provide better options for protecting high valued items during transit, rather than the standard practice of using corrugated boxes or wood crates. Unlike brokers within the industry, API has always maintained an in-house design staff, and we manufacture all of our products within our Baltimore facility.
As one of the only AS9100 certified producers in our industry, we are driven to provide quality and customer satisfaction throughout every stage in our process. At Advanced Packaging, we recognize the importance associated with continuously investing in the latest technologies, and we regularly allocate capital towards the purchase of manufacturing equipment and design software. The unique approach we take when collaborating with our customers has allowed us to evolve from simply supplying cases, to development of high-end custom solutions. To fulfill the diverse requests of our clients, we have struck partnerships with other vertically integrated suppliers, giving API a wide array of product and service offerings. This also includes our latest investment in Impact Case & Container; our custom aluminum fabrication entity.
Our worldwide customer base has grown to include industries such as: Aerospace, Government/Military, Medical, Communications and Commercial Products. In order to satisfy the needs of our customers, API continues to add to our core competencies, which include protective case development, wire and cable harness assembly, precision metal fabrication and conceptual design. Advanced Packaging is also incredibly proud to be the first within our trade to incorporate the addition of a dedicated electronic systems integration division to our organization. With all of these services available under one roof, we can provide our customer base with a single resource, capable of fulfilling every aspect of their project’s needs.
